Join Metro, project partners and community members from the four city-led land use planning processes to support work on the regional Southwest Corridor Plan. These local land use processes include the City of Portland Barbur Concept Plan, Tigard Connections, Linking Tualatin and Sherwood’s Town Center Plan.
This is the third of three community planning forum for the Southwest Corridor Plan that Metro has convened over the course of 2012 and 2013 at project milestones, providing an opportunity for city-led community advisory committee members and other interested neighbors to:
- share information and learn from others about local land use plans
- understand the whole Southwest corridor and discuss corridor-wide trade-offs
- develop dialogue across jurisdictions and provide targeted feedback on project proposals.
This meeting will allow residents and other stakeholder to review the evaluation results for potential projects in the corridor. Potential projects include high capacity transit, roadway, bicycle and pedestrian improvement projects.
The event will start with a presentation about the project evaluation followed by an opportunity to talk to staff about specific projects or questions you may have. As always, what we hear from you will be shared with the steering committee before they move forward in their decision-making.
Community information and insight provided at these meetings will add to the work by technical experts as well as an expert review panel focusing on specific topics like affordable housing, community development or alternative transportation.
