Festival of the Birds
Celebrate migratory birds (and our resident avians) at this free festival sponsored by Portland Parks and Recreation and US Fish and Wildlife. Activities include bird walks into Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge, information on making your home bird-friendly, crafts, Audubon's education birds, bird olympics, art, food, music and a free raffle. 'Early bird' walks begin at 7:30 a.m. and require advanced registration; call 503-823-3601. Family-friendly.
